Your co-op deserves better than a spreadsheet and a Venmo request.

Hubl Learn runs terms, enrollment, fees, attendance, and report cards for homeschool co-ops, micro-schools, and small schools. Families sign themselves up. You stop retyping the roster every August. Your co-op's website comes with it, with events and email to families built in.

  • 60 days free, no card
  • No Hubl fee on payments
  • Bring your family spreadsheet
  • Parents who teach get their own page

Nobody signed up
to be the registrar.

Someone in your co-op is doing this at ten at night. A fresh tab for the fall term, copied from spring and already half wrong. A payment request to each family, then a mental note of who actually paid. A clipboard by the door that goes home in somebody's car.

That work is real, unpaid, and mostly invisible. It is also why good co-ops stall at the size one volunteer can hold in their head.

Five jobs off
one person's desk.

Each of these used to live in its own spreadsheet, app, or clipboard. Here they share one roster, filmed in a sample co-op.

Build the semester once.

A term holds your dates, your enrollment window, and the periods your classes meet in. Next term starts as a copy of this one instead of a blank sheet.

  • Each term has an enrollment window that closes on its own.
  • Every class has a grade range and a seat limit, with a waitlist when it fills.
  • Class periods keep a child out of two rooms at the same hour.
  • Finished terms archive, so last year stays readable.

Try enrolling
as a parent.

This is Cedar Co-op's catalog for fall and spring, following the same rules as the real enrollment page. Pick classes for Ada and Eli. Put one child in two rooms at once, or try a class that's full.

It's the same Hubl
underneath.

A co-op also needs a website, a way to reach forty families, and a field trip sign-up. Those are already here, and they know about your classes.

A whole website, not just a sign-up form.

Pick a design and change the words and photos right on the page. Enrollment, your next co-op day, and upcoming events show up on it by themselves.

  • Free on a hubl.life address. Your own domain comes with the School plan.
  • The class catalog sits on it while enrollment is open.
  • Photos and the people who teach, edited where they appear.

What Hubl Learn does not do yet.

High school transcripts, with credits and GPA, are not here yet, and students cannot turn in assignments online. Fees are collected when a family enrolls rather than billed monthly, so a payment plan spread across the semester is something we are building toward.

What does the free trial include, and what happens after?

Every new school gets everything free for 60 days, with no card. After that, running classes takes the School plan: $30 a month with 100 enrolled students included, covering terms, classes, enrollment, attendance, grades and report cards, and class fees, plus forms, Facebook and Instagram posting, and your own web address. Without it, a basic website on a hubl.life address, events, and email to families stay free, the same as for any organization on Hubl.

Which students count toward the bill?

A student counts for a month when they're enrolled in a class whose term runs that month. One student in several classes counts once. Waitlisted and dropped students don't count, and neither do past students you keep on file. In a month with no term running, over the summer say, nobody counts and the bill is the base $30. The first 100 are included, and each 50 after that adds $10 for that month.

Our parents teach the classes. Can they take attendance?

Yes. Add a parent as a class's teacher and they get a Teach page with their roster and the attendance for each meeting, on their phone. They don't see the rest of your admin.

Can we give grades and report cards?

Yes. Each class can be graded by assignment scores, by one grade entered at the end of the term, or not at all. When you publish report cards, parents see them on their family page and can print them. Transcripts with credits and GPA are not supported yet.

Do families need an account?

One parent per family creates a Hubl login, adds their kids, and enrolls them. The same login works for field trips, events, and the Hubl Life app.

We already keep our families in a spreadsheet.

Import it under People, then Import. Rows that share a family name come in as one household, parents and children together, and you review the list before anything is saved.

What does it cost to take payments?

Hubl adds no fee. Families pay through your own Stripe account, which charges its standard card rate and pays out to your bank. A family paying cash can be marked paid by hand.

Do we have to list an address?

No. Add one if families should see where you meet, or leave it blank if you meet in homes or move around.

Build your
first term.

Create your school, add your periods and classes, and publish the catalog when you are ready. Taking card payments needs a Stripe account connected to Hubl, which costs nothing to set up and takes about ten minutes.

A 60-day free trial.

Everything, no card. When it ends, classes and enrollment need the School plan. Without it, a basic website on a hubl.life address, events, and email to families stay free.
